Farewell from Dave

By King Dog - Posted on 22 November 2009

Some of you may not know, but last night at the Dogs Bollix was my last gig as the Drummer for Jealous Itch. The reasons for this are not important, but what is important is to thank some people for making my time with the band special. To Sean, Devlin and Grant. Thanks guys for some awesome nights and some fantastic music. You Rock. To all the people who have supported me in my time with the band, Tony, Rai, Amy, Kor,Ross, you guys all know who you are. Thanks to you all for making it fun to do and finally to my friends Anton and Leigh, Thank you so much for letting me be a part of the band that I know means a lot to you both and I wish you all the very best for the future, whatever it holds for you. Well thats about all I have to say. If I've forgotten anyone I'm sorry and I'll catch you all again sometime.

Signing Off,
Dave.

I don't really know what to say. I've been reading the comments on here for a couple of days now and I have to say sorry for not replying sooner, but I really have no words other than thank you for all of you that have said such nice things about me. So from the bottom of my heart.....THANK YOU ALL. I'm really blown away. Jealous Itch was such a great band to be a part of and I have to say it was more difficult than I thought it would be to walk away from it, but there are some very talented people associated with it so I'm sure it will be fine.

Thank You again,
Dave.

Thanks Dave, it was a blast to work with you again after all those years gone by (Blues Barn) always a cold beer in the fridge if you can back the Corette down the drive. See ya again soon.

Holding out the shoe is the left foot!

Well this is not what I expected to see when I logged on here. I'm sure you have your reasons Dave and I wish you all the best in the future. It was great to meet you, hopefully we will catch up again sometime. You will be missed.

It has been a pleasure to have Dave as a member of this project, A great team player with the best sounding kick and snare in the country, and passionate about everything to do with this band. It will be strange now, as on those rehearsal nights when we would squeeze in a few beers and jamming down a meal before going of to the band room to blow our ears out.
We have had a lot of fun and thats what it is all about and I hope you look back with good memories of the time spent jamming and giging with us, your enthusiasm with be missed!!! "Hail Big Dave"!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I want to thank you for ALL the hard work, heart and dedication you have put into this project, I love the respect you have shown the songs. You know we'll keep in touch, after all, Vodafone will go broke if we don't!!! BTW Christmas dinner is at Jo's this year and as always, there's a place with your name on it.
